DemtiCare is an assistive daily care and lifestyle companion created to support families, licensed caregivers, and community health workers caring for individuals living with dementia and memory loss.

Designed strictly as a supportive aid, DemtiCare helps organize structured daily routines, provides familiar reminiscence activities, and streamlines communication between care providers—ensuring care remains connected, compassionate, and organized.

This Privacy Policy explains how T ARUN ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, protects, and discloses personal information and caregiver records when you download, install, or use the DemtiCare application and associated services (collectively, the "Service").

Your privacy and security are paramount. DemtiCare processes routine and caregiver logs under stringent data protection guidelines. We do not sell your personal information, and observation records remain confidential, accessible only to authorized users designated by the primary account holder.

We adhere to the Google Play Developer Program Policies (including User Data and Health Apps policies), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and applicable global data privacy regulations.

In order to facilitate daily care routines, reminiscence engagement, and caregiver coordination, DemtiCare collects the following categories of information:

A. Account & Profile Information

• User Credentials: Name, username, email address, password hash, and designated account role (Patient, Caregiver, Community Worker, or Doctor).
• Profile Preferences: Language preferences, display settings, and user-selected care preferences.
• Caregiver & Emergency Contacts: Names, phone numbers, and designated relationships of family members, primary caregivers, or emergency contacts entered into the Caregiver SOS & Contact Directory.

B. Routine, Reminiscence & Observation Logs

• Caregiver Routine Coordination Data: Shared daily task schedules, hydration logs, routine completion check-offs, and general wellbeing updates.
• Structured Observation Records: Non-clinical observation notes, daily mood logs, and behavioral observation entries recorded for sharing with healthcare professionals during regular visits.
• Supervised Memory & Reminiscence Data: Caregiver-guided activity completion metrics, family photo prompt interaction flags, and music recall preferences.
• Community Worker Intake Records: Standardized field intake notes and non-clinical observations recorded by authorized community health workers.

C. Device, Sensor & Technical Information

• Device Attributes: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and network connection status.
• App Performance & Diagnostic Telemetry: Crash logs, error traces, and system performance metrics used exclusively to resolve bugs, diagnose issues, and ensure software reliability.

5. Device Permissions & Purpose Specification

DemtiCare only requests runtime device permissions strictly necessary to execute its core supportive functions. In accordance with Google Play Developer Policies, our usage of these permissions is detailed below:

• CAMERA Camera Permission: Used strictly for user profile photos and for supervised reminiscence and cognitive activities (such as eye movement engagement during exercises and capturing reminiscence photo prompts).
  Important: Camera feeds are processed in real-time on your device or securely via our server for active exercise feedback. We never record, sell, or commercially store personal camera feeds for advertising, marketing, or surveillance purposes.
• MICROPHONE Microphone / Audio Permission: Used when the user or caregiver interacts with voice-guided prompts, speech-based memory activities, or music recall engagement. Audio data is processed only during an active session and is not accessed in the background.
• NOTIFICATIONS Notification Permission: Used to deliver time-sensitive routine alerts, hydration reminders, scheduled care tasks, and updates from linked caregivers or healthcare providers. Users may disable notification permissions at any time in their device settings.

We process collected data exclusively for legitimate care coordination and assistive service delivery:

• Delivering Assistive Care Features: Enabling structured daily schedules, reminiscence activities, and hydration logs.
• Caregiver & Care Team Synchronization: Enabling primary caregivers, family members, and community workers to stay coordinated with real-time updates and logs.
• Non-Clinical Observation Sharing: Formatting observation records for authorized export or consultation with licensed healthcare providers.
• Fast Emergency Access: Powering quick dial shortcuts in the Caregiver SOS & Contact Directory.
• System Security & Diagnostics: Maintaining platform stability, authenticating authorized users, preventing fraud, and resolving technical defects.

Zero Targeted Advertising: DemtiCare contains no third-party advertisements. Your personal, health, and caregiver coordination data is never sold, rented, leased, or traded to data brokers or advertising networks.

7. Information Sharing, Confidentiality & Disclosure

We hold user privacy in the highest regard and strictly limit data disclosures:

• Authorized Care Circle: Observation records and routine updates remain confidential and are accessible only to authorized users explicitly designated by the primary account holder (such as linked family caregivers or healthcare providers).
• Trusted Technical Service Providers: Secure cloud infrastructure providers (database hosting, cloud compute, notification delivery) who process encrypted data under strict contractual confidentiality obligations.
• Legal & Safety Compliance: When strictly required by applicable law, court order, or governmental regulation, or in emergency situations to protect vital life safety.
• No Commercial Sale: We do not sell user personal data or observation records to any third party for marketing, commercial monetization, or profiling.

8. Data Security Practices

We implement comprehensive organizational, administrative, and technical safeguards to secure your information:

• Encryption in Transit: All communications between the DemtiCare mobile application and backend services are encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).
• Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Access to records is restricted based on verified roles (Patient, Caregiver, Community Worker, Doctor) authenticated through cryptographically signed tokens (JWT).
• Cryptographic Password Protection: Account passwords are protected using industry-standard salted cryptographic hashing algorithms and are never stored in plaintext.
• Partitioned Database Security: Observation records and personal information are stored in secure, access-controlled databases with routine security audits.

9. Data Retention & Account Deletion Policy

In compliance with Google Play Developer Policies and global data protection regulations, users retain full control over their data:

• Data Retention: We retain account and care coordination records only for as long as your account remains active or as needed to maintain assistive care continuity. Accounts inactive for more than 24 months are queued for archival and automated deletion.
• Right to Deletion: You have the absolute right to permanently delete your account and all associated personal records at any time.

10. Children's Privacy

Target Audience: DemtiCare is designed and intended for adults, seniors coping with memory loss, family caregivers, community health workers, and healthcare professionals (aged 18 and older).

DemtiCare is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in applicable EU jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has submitted personal details to DemtiCare without verified parental/guardian consent, please notify us immediately at development.simats@gmail.com, and we will promptly remove the information and terminate the account.

11. User Rights & Choices

Subject to applicable privacy legislation (such as GDPR, CCPA, and regional laws), you have the following rights:

• Right of Access: You can request a summary or copy of the personal information we hold about you.

If you access DemtiCare outside India, your information may be processed in secure facilities that comply with applicable data protection legislation and contractual safeguards.

We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect enhancements to DemtiCare, Google Play Developer Program Policy changes, or regulatory requirements. When revisions occur:
